Hitman: Absolution là một tựa game hành động lén lút (stealth) được phát triển bởi IO Interactive và phát hành bởi Square Enix. Đây là phần thứ năm trong loạt game Hitman, được xây dựng trên engine Glacier 2 độc quyền của IO Interactive.
Nhà phát triển xác nhận rằng Absolution sẽ dễ tiếp cận hơn cho người chơi mới, nhưng vẫn giữ lại những yếu tố thử thách dành cho người chơi kỳ cựu.

Hitman: Absolution is a stealth action game developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix. It is the fifth entry in the Hitman series, running on IO Interactive’s proprietary Glacier 2 engine.

Developers have stated that Absolution will be more accessible for new players while still retaining its hardcore elements for veterans.

The first in-depth trailer showcases Agent 47 storming a safehouse and confronting Diana while she’s showering. Betrayed by those he once trusted and hunted by the police, 47 finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world in search of the truth.
At least part of the game takes place in Chicago, while the rest of the story unfolds across the United States.
