Arthur Morgan và băng nhóm Van der Linde là những tên tội phạm đang chạy trốn. Khi các đặc vụ liên bang và những thợ săn tiền thưởng giỏi nhất quốc gia rượt theo sát nút, băng nhóm phải cướp bóc, trộm cắp và chiến đấu khắp vùng trung tâm hoang dã của nước Mỹ để sinh tồn. Khi những mâu thuẫn nội bộ ngày càng sâu sắc đe dọa chia rẽ băng nhóm, Arthur phải đưa ra lựa chọn giữa lý tưởng của bản thân và lòng trung thành với băng nhóm đã nuôi dưỡng anh.
