RuneQuest: Warlords là một game chiến thuật theo lượt quy mô trận chiến, lấy bối cảnh trong vũ trụ RuneQuest.

Hãy đắm mình vào thế giới giàu truyền thuyết của Glorantha. Trở thành một lãnh chúa, làm chủ sức mạnh của các rune và bảo vệ bộ tộc trước sự xâm lấn của Chaos. Trong RuneQuest: Warlords, các trận chiến diễn ra trên bản đồ dạng lưới, nơi địa hình và vị trí đóng vai trò cực kỳ quan trọng về mặt chiến thuật.
Mỗi đơn vị có “Vùng Kiểm Soát” xung quanh các ô lân cận, buộc kẻ địch phải đối đầu hoặc tìm đường vòng. Điểm Hành Động (AP) được dùng để di chuyển, tấn công hoặc sử dụng kỹ năng đặc biệt; các Anh hùng có hai AP để thực hiện chiến thuật nâng cao như tấn công sườn hoặc niệm phép. Ma thuật Spirit, Rune và Sorcery mang đến sức mạnh lớn, trong khi Chế độ Sentry cho phép đơn vị tự động phòng thủ khu vực. Các phản ứng chiến thuật như đòn đánh cơ hội và phản công khiến việc giữ vị trí trở thành yếu tố then chốt, bổ sung nhiều lớp chiến lược cho từng bước đi.

Immerse yourself in the rich lore of Glorantha. Become a warlord, master the power of runes, and defend your tribe against the incursions of Chaos. Defeat your enemies with magic-enhanced tactics and rune-based abilities. Command a diverse army composed of heroes and mythical creatures.

Players are drawn into the world of Glorantha — a mystical cube of earth surrounded by the Sramake’s River, where ancient floods still cover much of the land. Set between Talastar and Dorastor, west of Dragon Pass on the continent of Genertela, the story unfolds during the pivotal year 7/37 (1608) of the Glorantha timeline, depicting the desperate struggle of the Talastar Tribes for survival against the invading Chaos hordes.

The campaign follows Hahlgrim, a tribal champion of Talastar’s Bilings clan, as he gathers allies — including elves and even temporary Lunar supporters — to push back the Chaos forces from Dorastor. The journey spans 18 missions, telling a tale filled with valor, heroism, cruelty, and betrayal.

As the story progresses, players will encounter iconic RuneQuest characters such as Ketil Whiteye, Hakon the Swimmer, Woowander, and Ralzakark.

In RuneQuest: Warlords, battles unfold on a grid-based map where terrain and positioning provide deep tactical complexity.
Each unit exerts a Zone of Control over adjacent tiles, forcing enemies either to engage or maneuver around. Action Points (AP) are spent on movement, attacks, or special abilities; Heroes gain two AP for advanced tactics like flanking or spellcasting. Spirit, Rune, and Sorcery magic offer powerful abilities, while Sentry Mode lets units guard areas automatically. Tactical reactions like Opportunity Attacks and counter-attacks make positioning critical, adding layers of strategy to every move.
