Stability is more important than fashion
I used to chase trendy effects, but now I choose premium themes for their stability and clean base. When a theme is properly optimized and not overloaded with "demo magic," the site runs smoother: fewer bugs after updates, fewer unexpected conflicts, and it's easier to customize with a child theme. When it comes to plugins, I also try to choose those with regular updates and a clear changelog. On a new project, I started with a clean installation via download nulled wordpress, then the theme, then a minimal set of plugins and a speed test, and only then the content. What signs do you use to indicate that a theme or plugin is "reliable" for the long term: the code, updates, reviews, or something else?
