Description

Deja Vu I & II - The Casebooks of Ace Harding is a compact, portable pair of noir detective adventures adapted for the Game Boy. Players assume the role of hardboiled private eye Ace Harding, examining crime scenes, interrogating suspects, and juggling inventory-based puzzles across two linked mysteries. Gameplay emphasizes careful observation, deduction, and trial-and-error problem solving within the Game Boy's limited interface, creating tense, slow-burn immersion. Expect classic difficulty, sparse pixel art atmospheres, and a focus on puzzle logic over action - a methodical, old-school experience that rewards patience and note-taking for those who love retro mystery gaming.

💾 Save & Load Guide

Don't lose your progress! You have two ways to manage your game states:

  • Auto-Save (Browser Storage): By default, your progress is automatically saved to your browser's local storage. You can pick up right where you left off the next time you visit, provided you do not clear your browser cache.
  • Manual Save/Load (Export to File): For maximum safety and playing across different devices, you can export your save data:
    1. Open the Settings Menu in the emulator.
    2. Select "Save State" to download your progress as a file (usually .txt or .state) to your device.
    3. To resume, simply use "Load State" and select that file to continue playing.

⚠️ Note: We highly recommend exporting your save file frequently to avoid losing data due to browser updates or accidental cache clearing.
