Description

Magical Chase on the TurboGrafx-16 is a compact, candy-colored side-scrolling shooter that blends frantic projectile dodging with short, punchy stages. Players blast through whimsical enemy formations, snag power-ups, and face imaginative bosses that test pattern recognition and reflexes. Tight controls and a focus on score runs make each life precious, encouraging cautious aggression and memorization. Its bubbly pixel art and upbeat soundtrack evoke late-80s/early-90s console charm, while the quick stages and steep learning curve deliver classic arcade satisfaction. Ideal for speedruns and pick-up sessions, it rewards precision and practice with every retry.

💾 Save & Load Guide

Don't lose your progress! You have two ways to manage your game states:

  • Auto-Save (Browser Storage): By default, your progress is automatically saved to your browser's local storage. You can pick up right where you left off the next time you visit, provided you do not clear your browser cache.
  • Manual Save/Load (Export to File): For maximum safety and playing across different devices, you can export your save data:
    1. Open the Settings Menu in the emulator.
    2. Select "Save State" to download your progress as a file (usually .txt or .state) to your device.
    3. To resume, simply use "Load State" and select that file to continue playing.

⚠️ Note: We highly recommend exporting your save file frequently to avoid losing data due to browser updates or accidental cache clearing.
