Description

Fear Effect on PlayStation 1 is a gritty, cinematic action-adventure that blends real-time combat, stealth, and inventory-based puzzles across pre-rendered environments. You switch between a small squad of mercenaries, each with distinct abilities, while navigating tense set-pieces, boss encounters, and mature, film-noir storytelling. Its stylized character art and dramatic camera work captured a late-90s PS1 atmosphere, balancing puzzle-solving with fast-paced firefights and stealth opportunities. Challenging enemy AI and limited resources reward careful planning and exploration, making it a memorable, slightly unforgiving experience for fans of classic survival-action titles and retro PlayStation nostalgia.

💾 Save & Load Guide

Don't lose your progress! You have two ways to manage your game states:

  • Auto-Save (Browser Storage): By default, your progress is automatically saved to your browser's local storage. You can pick up right where you left off the next time you visit, provided you do not clear your browser cache.
  • Manual Save/Load (Export to File): For maximum safety and playing across different devices, you can export your save data:
    1. Open the Settings Menu in the emulator.
    2. Select "Save State" to download your progress as a file (usually .txt or .state) to your device.
    3. To resume, simply use "Load State" and select that file to continue playing.

⚠️ Note: We highly recommend exporting your save file frequently to avoid losing data due to browser updates or accidental cache clearing.
