Description

Fisherman Bait 2 - Big Ol Bass on PlayStation 1 puts you in the tackle box and on the water for slow-burn, skill-based bass fishing. Players choose rods, lures, and cast into lakes with dynamic weather and hidey spots; success hinges on timing, lure presentation, and reeling technique. Matches include timed tournaments and practice modes that reward patience and pattern-finding. The PS1-era graphics and soundtrack add a layer of retro charm while the deliberate pace and bite-bait minigame create tense, rewarding encounters. Ideal for collectors and fans of niche, methodical sports games seeking a relaxed yet challenging experience.

🎮 Netplay Guide (Play Online with Friends)

  1. Set your player name
Before starting, enter your player name so others can recognize you in the room.
  2. Create a room
Click Netplay → Create Room, then choose a room name. It is recommended to name the room after the game you are playing (e.g. Super Mario World) so other players can find it easily. You may also set a password for a private room.
  3. Join a room
Make sure you open the same game as the host. Click Netplay, then select Join Room from the room list and join the desired room.

⚠️ Note: Netplay works best when all players use the same game version and have a stable internet connection.

Controls:

For the best retro experience 🎮, a gamepad is recommended. You can customize controls in the Settings Menu.
Note: Press any button on your gamepad so the emulator can detect it.

🕹️Gamepad compatibility:

  • Xbox-style (XInput): Works best on most browsers and devices.
  • PlayStation DualShock / DualSense: Supported on many games, but button mapping may vary depending on the game, emulator core, browser, and operating system.

🕹️Recommended browsers:

  • Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave): Best performance and controller support.
  • Safari (macOS / iOS): Good support for Bluetooth controllers.
  • Firefox: Not recommended for gamepad play due to inconsistent controller mapping and limited Gamepad, Sound API behavior.

🕹️How to set up controls:

  • PC (Windows / macOS): Connect your controller → start the game → Settings → Controls → map buttons.
  • Android: Pair via Bluetooth or USB-OTG → launch the game → Settings → Controls.
  • iOS (Safari): Use a compatible Bluetooth controller → open the game → configure controls in the Settings Menu.

🕹️ Controller Mode (PlayStation Games):

Some older PlayStation games were designed for the original Standard controller and may not work correctly in Analog/DualShock mode.

If you experience issues such as the Start button not responding or controls not working properly:

Settings → Input → Controller Type → Standard

By default, the emulator uses Analog/DualShock mode to support vibration (rumble) in compatible games. After switching to Standard, restart the game.

This also applies when using a keyboard or the on-screen virtual pad on Android, as some games may not detect inputs correctly while Analog/DualShock mode is enabled.

💾 Save & Load Guide

Don't lose your progress! You have two ways to manage your game states:

  • Auto-Save (Browser Storage): By default, your progress is automatically saved to your browser's local storage. You can pick up right where you left off the next time you visit, provided you do not clear your browser cache.
  • Manual Save/Load (Export to File): For maximum safety and playing across different devices, you can export your save data:
    1. Open the Settings Menu in the emulator.
    2. Select "Save State" to download your progress as a file (usually .state) to your device.
    3. To resume, simply use "Load State" and select that file to continue playing.

⚠️ Note: We highly recommend exporting your save file frequently to avoid losing data due to browser updates or accidental cache clearing.

🖥️ Hardware Requirements — EmulatorJS (Web)

⚠️ EmulatorJS runs in-browser via WebAssembly — free RAM matters more than CPU speed, as engine + ROM + save states all load into memory.

Component ⚠️ Minimum ✅ Recommended
🪟 Windows / 🐧 Linux / 🍎 macOS (Browser)
RAM 4 GB — need at least 2 GB free for browser + engine 6 GB+ — comfortable with other tabs + netplay + save states
CPU Dual-core 1.8 GHz (N64/PS1/NDS) Quad-core 2.4 GHz+ (N64 HLE + smooth netplay)
GPU Any GPU with WebGL 2.0 (Intel HD 4000+) Any discrete GPU — smoother filters/shaders
Browser Chrome 80+ / Edge 80+ / Firefox 75+ / Safari 15+ Latest Chrome / Edge — best WebAssembly JIT performance
Connection 10 Mbps (first-time engine download) 25 Mbps+ (stable netplay, fast loading)
🤖 Android (Browser / App)
RAM 4 GB · Android 8.0+ — NDS/PS1 needs ~1.5 GB free RAM 6 GB · Android 10+ — N64 + netplay without process kill
SoC Snapdragon 665 / Helio G85 (NDS/GBA/PS1) Snapdragon 750G+ / Dimensity 900+ (N64/Arcade)
📊 RAM by System
GBA / SNES / GBC ~200–400 MB free RAM — even low-end devices work
PS1 / NDS ~800 MB – 1.2 GB free RAM — need at least 4 GB total
N64 / Arcade (MAME) ~1.5 – 2 GB free RAM — 6 GB+ for comfort; 4 GB may stutter/crash

* Close unnecessary tabs before playing to free RAM. Chrome typically uses more RAM than Edge — try Edge if your 4 GB device stutters on N64.
