Description

The King of Fighters 99 brings SNK's signature 3-on-3 team battles to the PlayStation, debuting the Striker system that adds tactical tag-in assists to traditional arcade fighting. Players pick teams from a large roster, chaining fast-paced combos and risky counters in short, intense matches. The PSX version recreates the sprite-based visuals and driving soundtrack, capturing the arcade challenge and competitive edge that defined late-90s fighters. Learning team synergy and striker timing rewards practice, while local versus bouts deliver nostalgia and tense multiplayer sessions. Expect tight controls, steep learning curves, and satisfying comebacks that make each round memorable.

💾 Save & Load Guide

Don't lose your progress! You have two ways to manage your game states:

  • Auto-Save (Browser Storage): By default, your progress is automatically saved to your browser's local storage. You can pick up right where you left off the next time you visit, provided you do not clear your browser cache.
  • Manual Save/Load (Export to File): For maximum safety and playing across different devices, you can export your save data:
    1. Open the Settings Menu in the emulator.
    2. Select "Save State" to download your progress as a file (usually .txt or .state) to your device.
    3. To resume, simply use "Load State" and select that file to continue playing.

⚠️ Note: We highly recommend exporting your save file frequently to avoid losing data due to browser updates or accidental cache clearing.
